Through a dozen programs, Aristeo expanded the footprint of General Motors’ Spring Hill Manufacturing facility, which produces the Cadillac and GMC SUV models. The plant is General Motors largest facility in the United States and has a stamping plant, a body shop and a paint shop.
Aristeo managed the expansions of multiple buildings and many other projects at the Spring Hill facility, including the IMN Building and Rail Cross Dock Building, body tool and die repair, the C1UX Project, floor repairs, building modifications and the construction of the AAX3 press pit. Between these projects, Aristeo added nearly 200,000 square feet of additional plant space, eight truck docks and a 20-foot-deep stamping press pit. Aristeo coordinated deliveries in the active plant and delivered a successful project to General Motors without disrupting plant activity.
For the variety of projects that Aristeo completed, our scope included concrete foundations, excavation, road work, structural steel erection and exterior pavement. Working in an active facility with tight tolerances, small work areas and active production brings expected challenges, however Aristeo is well versed in solving for all of them. The team used the addition’s footprint as a laydown area and coordinated with plant personnel when working close to production aisles and cafeterias.
