Aristeo renovated the Stamelos Gallery Center at the University of Michigan Dearborn’s campus.
Aristeo managed the renovation of an existing computer lab into an art gallery space, inclusive of specialty lighting and high tech temperature controls. This renovation allows the university to borrow a wider variety of artwork from museums around the country, expand programming possibilities and enhance capabilities to properly store and preserve its permanent art collection.
Aristeo demolished and renovated the existing room into three unique spaces, including an enclosed art gallery, an art storage room and a new mechanical room. The new mechanical included a high precision electric stream humidification system with precise controls to protect future art intended for the gallery. The new mechanical room also needed to be tied into the rest of the existing building’s systems, however the new spaces were able to operate independently with different temperature and humidity controls.
