Aristeo transformed both the GMAL facility and the reduced scale wind tunnel at General Motors’ facility in Warren, MI, which increases testing capabilities for GM.
We’ve performed multiple research and testing facility projects for General Motors, including its General Motors Aerodynamics Laboratory (GMAL) and the Reduced Scale Wind Tunnel in Warren, MI. As general contractor for the upgrade to the reduced scale wind tunnel, Aristeo completed the design and construction. For the GMAL facility, Aristeo removed the existing balance equipment and reinstalled a new turntable and balance equipment. Aristeo took this project over from several different teams and was able to meet the project schedule on time.
Aristeo’s scope of work for the 50,000 square foot GMAL facility included placing 200 cubic yards of concrete and installing 62 tons of steel. We also refurbished the existing structural duct and engineered for shoring of existing structure for implementation of new balance equipment.
The upgrade to the wind tunnel included the installation of state-of-the-art rolling road technology, acoustic and electrical upgrades and renovated support facilities.
