Over the last year, Aristeo has participated in many client and community events designed to support the diverse business community – and thanks to our advocacy efforts, Aristeo was honored to receive two supplier diversity awards.
Ford Motor Company recently invited Aristeo’s President Michelle Aristeo Barton, Chief Strategy Officer Anne Aristeo Martinelli, and Executive Advisor Joe Aristeo, to speak on a panel at their recent Supplier Diversity Summit about the importance of succession planning for diverse businesses. At the event, we were also honored to receive Ford’s Advocacy Award, which recognized our recent efforts to promote the diverse business community.
In addition, Aristeo Construction has worked closely with the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council (GLWBC) over the last year. Martinelli and Barton have helped steward the GLWBC’s MentorWE mentorship program, and the GLWBC also invited Martinelli to speak at two of their ExecWE events. The events, targeted toward women business owners, teach how to create a competitive advantage by disrupting the status quo. Martinelli spoke about what it takes to develop a disruptor mindset that can help others grow their business.
Aristeo Construction was also honored to accept the GLWBC WBE of the Year Award in August 2019. This award recognizes members of the GLWBC who go above and beyond to support the organization and its members through both time and effort. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with the GLWBC and all of its members in many of their events and programs.
Aristeo is grateful for the many opportunities we’ve had to support the diverse business community. Our participation in these events is one small part of how we achieve one of our most important goals – to encourage diversity across our industry and community as a whole.
