Aristeo expanded Hyundai’s core research base for production and sales support in North America, which is the hub for designing, planning and overall development of Hyundai and KIA automobiles for the North American market.
Acting as the general contractor, Aristeo oversaw all work on the project and completed the facility in accordance with the owner’s requirements. The Environmental Chamber Expansion consists of a 25,000 square foot expansion to house a series of new test facilities including a new hot/cold dynamometer cell, cold soak room, ambient soak room, chemical laboratory, clean room, vehicle air lock room, barrel room and fuel conditioning room.
In addition to managing the project, Aristeo self performed the concrete and excavation. Subcontractors provided electrical services for the building, which were supported by a new 120 kV DTE substation. Also included in the site upgrade is a parking lot expansion and renovation of an innovation space.
