Aristeo Values Award 2025

An Aristeo Values Award is a prestigious internal recognition given to team members who embody our values of safety, integrity, excellence, ingenuity, grit and comradery. At our recent Town Hall, we celebrated 15 team members for their dedication and success.

Safety

The foremost of our core values, our safety award honors those who are dedicated to proactive safety leadership.

Erik Alfafara, Senior Safety Coordinator

Erik shows exceptional dedication to safety, caring deeply for his teams and promoting safe job sites. His ability to connect with many personalities and his strong knowledge of multiple crafts and trades allows him to understand their specific challenges and provide practical, effective guidance. Erik’s leadership fosters a strong safety culture everywhere he works.

Jim Townsend, General Superintendent

Jim consistently demonstrates safety leadership by example, creating strong partnerships with our clients and teams to drive a safety first mentality across all jobsites. Under Jim’s leadership, our ironworker teams have gone from the least to most safe trade thanks to Jim’s dedication and discipline surrounding safety excellence.

 Integrity

Integrity is pervasive throughout our company. This award honors those who display honesty, accountability and always doing the right thing.

Dwight Carter, Superintendent

Dwight exemplifies true integrity through teamwork and has set a standard for collaborative excellence within the organization. He improves project outcomes by working with our clients to align teams towards shared goals, and his creativity and problem-solving skills help drive his projects forward efficiently.

Dwayne Kendall, Inspector

Dwayne is the fabrication shop’s last stop on the quality train. His attention to detail, dogged determination and vast knowledge in steel fabrication is second to none, and his inspections ensure that what is shipped to Aristeo’s customers is correct and able to be erected flawlessly.

Excellence

We always strive for excellence at Aristeo. This award honors those who achieve that goal and deliver an unrivaled customer experience.

Brandon Lee, Cost Accountant

Brandon has excelled at Aristeo, becoming a go-to resource not just in accounting but across departments. He has built strong relationships with field leadership and project management personnel, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our team’s compliance with project requirements. Aristeo consistently stayed on track and issue-free under his oversight.

Mike Manko, Superintendent

Mike has done an outstanding job this year on all projects under his directive, resulting in very positive feedback from our clients. Mike communicates proactively with our customers and represents Aristeo in a very positive manner. When we have repeat customers that have worked with Mike before, they request for him to manage the new job.

Ingenuity

A hallmark of Aristeo’s construction solutions is how we apply ingenuity to all we do. This award honors those who provide bold, forward-thinking solutions.

Brett Athey, Superintendent

Brett is an out of the box thinker and is great at making good decisions under pressure. He tackles challenges with determination and responsibility, setting a great example for others. When things don’t go as planned, he learns and improves, showing reliability and ingenuity.

George Lucero, Assistant Project Manager

As a self-perform carpentry estimator, George consistently delivers innovative, cost-effective solutions that enhance our success. His creative estimating approaches helped us to secure major projects and he embodies the forward-thinking spirit this award celebrates.

Grit

Our team is known for their incredible work ethic, and this award honors those who showcase pride, perseverance and hard work.

James Hamby, Safety Manager

James has worked hard right out of the gate to understand the Aristeo way. When we needed a replacement site safety lead for TMMTX, James took the initiative to step up, and has really done a great job in that role, working hard amid a challenging project schedule to keep all employees and subcontractors safe onsite.

Aaron Peshinski, Foreman

Aaron joined the team in North Carolina to support our interior punch list completion as a GC Super. He worked well with the team and clients in NC, and then took the initiative to work in a self-perform capacity in both Alabama and Mississippi. Despite many challenges, he consistently got the job done with a great attitude.

Comradery

Aristeo’s culture is of the utmost importance, both on the job and off, and this award honors those who best exemplify collaboration, trust and winning together.

Michael Barshaw & Jim Rutledge, Warehouse Associates

Michael and Jim have been a great help in the warehouse, yard, and with trucking. Always willing to pitch in and assist with whatever is needed, they keep things running smoothly, efficiently and safety to best assist the team as a whole. Their positive attitude and continuous improvement mindset make them an important part of the Aristeo team.

Lauren Timm, Preconstruction Specialist

Lauren is the backbone of our Preconstruction team, ensuring our proposals are well executed and the department is organized and efficient. Always willing to help with a smile on her face, her positive attitude and ability to collaborate across departments and with clients make her a true asset to the organization.

As a growing business with projects across the nation, it is more important than ever to stay connected. This award honors those who emphasize teamwork and working across project teams.

Rylan Kline, Senior Project Engineer

Rylan has been critical to Building 804’s success across all business units. He began by managing self-perform concrete and steel, then took on all additional GC work. He consistently steps up, helps others, and sets high standards. With strong talent and work ethic, he leads by example and drives the team’s success.

Eric Montrief, Assistant Project Manager

Eric has embraced his development across business units, transitioning from a Steel to a GC role. He is a great business partner across our internal teams, and with our owners, provided insight and a different point of view for solutions, and ensuring strong communication among all members of our internal and external team.
