Aristeo’s Director of Risk Management, Chris Malloy, was requested by Ford Motor Company to speak at their Annual Contractor Safety Meeting on the topic of practical silica compliance. At the event, he provided background on OSHA’s silica regulations, what equipment is necessary for protection against silica dust, and what policies and procedures are necessary on the job site.
Aristeo has become an expert on silica compliance because of our wide range of services, including a particular expertise with concrete in which silica presents the biggest concern. Because Aristeo is managing dozens of projects across the country at any one time and totaled 1.4 million self perform manhours in 2017, implementing silica compliance at every job site has taken significant time, effort, and manpower. Despite the massive size of the undertaking, Malloy and the rest of Aristeo’s safety team has successfully pushed Aristeo to the forefront of the industry in terms of silica safety on the job. Every Aristeo employee in the field is well versed in the dangers of silica dust and all of the regulations we must meet to be fully silica compliant. We are proud of our in-house silica expertise, as well as proud of our Director of Risk Management, Chris Malloy, for earning the honor of speaking at Ford’s safety meeting. Thank you to Malloy and his entire team for their dedication to keeping Aristeo’s job sites safe!
