In partnership with Fluor Constructors, Aristeo completed multiple integral projects at the Marathon Petroleum Corporation in Detroit, MI.
Aristeo worked on three separate projects at the Marathon site, including the West Plant, the East Plant and the Coke Handling System. For the West Plant project, Aristeo provided services including excavation, concrete foundations, paving, finish grading, backfill, underground piping, sewer system, and underground electrical ductbank and grounding. For the East Plant, Aristeo’s scope included miscellaneous structural steel, mechanical equipment, above ground (A/G) piping and tie-ons for the Refinery East Plant.
For the Coke Handling System, Aristeo designed, procured and constructed 800 feet of conveyor including processing and truck loading equipment. The new coke handling system is designed to load, crush and transport shot coke and deliver 2,100 tons of coke per day. The advanced truck loading system is capable of loading 50 tons of coke in ten minutes with an automated truck wheel wash and heated floor system. The project included 830 feet of 12-foot diameter conveyor galleries, a 135-foot truck load out system, a feed conveyor transfer building and a crusher building.
