Aristeo achieved Conservation Certification for our corporate Pollinator Garden in Livonia, MI. This certification, provided by the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC), represents nearly two years of hard work on behalf of Aristeo employees and aligns Aristeo with the only existing standard for corporate conservation actions.
Aristeo, along with dozens of employee volunteers, began work on our Pollinator Garden in October 2017, and spent many months maintaining and monitoring the garden in order to collect all the data required for the certification. The garden features 22 native plant species and benefits over 70 pollinator species. Over the course of the last two years, Aristeo has successfully attracted hundreds of pollinators, including bees, butterflies and moths.
Inspired by our customer DTE Energy, our Pollinator Garden aligns with Aristeo’s corporate goals of revitalizing the communities in which we live and work. Gardens such as this help address the declining population of many pollinator species by providing food and nesting sources in areas that previously lacked such resources. We are excited to continue to maintain and monitor this garden and do our part to help the pollinators thrive.
