Aristeo considers personal safety to be of greater importance than any other phase of operations or administration. Accident prevention is an investment that pays extraordinary returns. We give it precedence over operating productivity. Every office and construction site operates drug free with zero tolerance through the successful implementation of our drug testing program administered by MUST (Management and Unions Serving Together) Safety Program. MUST is collaboration between trade unions, contractors, and large construction users in southeast Michigan that work together to eliminate accidents in the workplace through the following:
  • Drug testing services
  • Safety Awareness Training
  • Learning Modules based on topics from the OSHA 30 Hour Outreach Program

We have over 250 staff members trained in the MUST Safety Program and will not be satisfied until we reach our ultimate goal: no accidents, no injuries, no incidents. 

A safe workplace does not just happen; it is the result of tireless planning, continuous training and drug testing, and the proper attitude of every employee. Aristeo consistently puts the safety of employees and clients above all else. Our 2007/2008 Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of just 0.66 is testimony to the success of our safety program. And considering this rate is based on our own employees working more than half a million hours per year, we are extremely proud to earn such an impressive EMR. 

Our Safety Policy: 

  • Comply fully with applicable state and federal safety laws and regulations.
  • Require all employees and subcontractors to comply with all safety rules and policies.
  • Conduct safety meetings and provide education and training on safety and health.
  • Conduct safety inspections to identify and eliminate unsafe working conditions.
  • Thoroughly investigate every accident to determine its cause and correct the situation as to avoid recurrence.
  • Reprimand unsafe employees for exercising unsafe work habits.
