Aristeo Construction was awarded the design/build package for Ford Motor Company’s Norfolk Assembly Plant. Serving as design/build contractor, we performed all planning, scheduling, subcontract bidding/award, and field supervision required for this significant renovation. Major challenges included site logistics, an unusually high level of rainfall, and labor concerns due to right-to-work issues in the state of Virginia. Construction activities relied on coordinatin with plant personnel to maintain various bid package schedules without interrupting plant operations.
