Green
Aristeo has a long history with projects of environmental significance. In 2002, we became ISO 14001 certified and in 2004; we became a member of The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The USGBC is a non profit organization comprised of a divergent group of disciplines, brought together to promote environmentally conscious design and construction methods. The USGBC influences the way buildings are designed, built, and operated and are then rated through LEED
.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a Green Building Rating System developed by The USGBC. Under LEED, a list of standards for environmentally sustainable construction has been incorporated in a rating system which addresses five major categories:
- Sustainability of the site(s)
- Water efficiency
- Energy efficiency
